EU Global Human Rights Sanctions
We support third-country governments, public institutions and related entities in navigating the EU Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime (otherwise known as Magnitsky Sanctions), combining legal-political analysis, advocacy and strategic communications.
Our work begins with a detailed mapping of decision-makers across the Council, EEAS and Commission, as well as Member State positions and informal influencers.
We assess exposure risks, identify leverage points and develop defensible narratives grounded in EU human rights methodology and evidentiary standards.
Our approach is comprehensive: confidential engagement with EU institutions is complemented by parliamentary outreach, media positioning and coordination with broader diplomatic efforts.
Where appropriate, we integrate sanctions-related work with parallel processes, including human rights dialogues, UN mechanisms and trade discussions, ensuring consistency across all channels.
The objective is not only to mitigate immediate risks, but also to improve long-term credibility and resilience by aligning policy, messaging and reforms with EU expectations.
