Political relations
We help governments and political institutions build, strengthen and manage international political relationships. From diplomatic partnerships and political dialogues to high-level engagement and new diplomatic channels, we turn political objectives into effective programmes of international engagement.
We support clients in developing and managing political relationships across borders. This can involve strengthening existing partnerships, opening new diplomatic channels, managing sensitive relationships or positioning a country within wider regional and international groupings. We help identify the political actors and institutions that matter, develop engagement strategies and turn diplomatic objectives into practical and productive programmes of activity.
Our work includes engagement with European institutions and Member States on association agreements, strategic partnerships, political dialogues, cooperation accords and other frameworks governing international relationships. At the same time, we work across wider networks of governments and regional organisations, from Africa and the Middle East to Asia, the Americas and beyond.
We support clients in preparing for high-level political encounters, negotiations and summits, while also developing the longer-term relationships that give diplomacy substance. Where appropriate, we can help countries establish diplomatic relations or develop a stronger diplomatic presence in new jurisdictions.
Whether the objective is to upgrade an existing relationship, secure a new partnership, manage a political challenge or build international support around a national priority, we combine political intelligence, advocacy, communications and relationship-building to turn diplomatic engagement into lasting influence.
