Economic relations
We help governments and businesses strengthen international economic relationships and secure access to markets, investment and strategic partnerships. We combine political, regulatory and commercial engagement across trade, investment, energy, technology and critical resources.
We help governments, state-owned enterprises and private-sector companies navigate the political, regulatory and commercial dimensions of international economic relations. Our work covers trade and investment relationships, market access, economic partnerships, energy and critical raw materials, digital cooperation and the policies that increasingly connect economic interests with foreign policy and national security.
We engage with European institutions and Member States on trade agreements, regulatory alignment, investment frameworks, sustainable investment and market-access questions, while also supporting clients in their relationships with other major economies, regional blocs and international organisations. This includes engagement around WTO processes, GSP+ and other preferential arrangements, geographical indications, investment screening and international trade disputes.
We also support economic diplomacy beyond formal agreements: developing trade and investment delegations, building relationships with business communities, identifying potential investors and partners and creating platforms through which governments can communicate their economic priorities internationally.
As competition for energy, technology, investment and strategic resources intensifies, economic relationships are increasingly geopolitical relationships. We help clients anticipate these shifts, identify areas of mutual interest and build partnerships that deliver greater market access, investment, resilience and long-term economic opportunity.
