Ambassador Obinna Chiedu Onowu enjoyed an accomplished and wide-ranging career in the Nigerian diplomatic service, culminating in Abuja as director of international organisations.

Latterly, as ambassador of Nigeria to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg, he was instrumental in transforming the investment climate for European businesses in Nigeria.

Obinna gained broad experience in senior postings including London, Bujumbura, The Hague and Johannesburg, but it's for his multilateral expertise and skills that he's especially renowned.

A lawyer by training, Obinna's service includes postings as legal adviser to the Nigerian delegation to the UN Security Council, and at the Nigerian delegation to Geneva-based international organisations.
